500ml bottle - Dark amber/ruby body, thin white froth on top, rich caramel nose. Sharp malty tang on the way in, bitterness and crisp spicy orange on the way out. It seems okay, but not the best I’ve had from Nook.

Bottle - 500ml. Deep red-tinged amber. Tight head. Malty overtones of nuts, cereals and toast - thought the smell isn’t strong. There’s a nice malty taste with some grassy hops. On the tongue is better than on the nose. very soft carbonation, almost flat - quite thin, but there’s a really pleasant bitter finish.

Cask. An amber beer with a dense orangey head. The aroma has notes of fruit, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of toffee on a medium malty background, leading to a bitter finish.

Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light hoppy, fruity, perfume. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100119]

Cask Handpump at the New Oxford, Salford 25/04/2010 Floral aroma. Amber coloured and fruity with a crisp and slightly bitter malt finish.
