(50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne) Pours a clear, dark amber with little, off-white head. Aroma is adjunct-perfumed with notes of coffee and oak. Soft carbonation, medium body, watery texture and an acidic finish. Taste has more wood / oak and something sour. Disharmonic and bordering on the undrinkable to me.

Draft. A brown beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of smoke.

Sample from tap, FØL 2013. Dark brown colour with a small, off-white head. Fruity aroma with caramel, licorice, light smoke. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a thinner texture. Finishes sweet with caramel malts, licorice, bread hops a bit of smoke. Okay, but lacks a smoky-character.

´Chopp. Dark brown colour, small beige bubbly head. Sweet dark malty and bit smoky aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Sweet flavour, dark malt, some smoke, some licorice. Mild and rather thin Skibsøl type....

Draught at Copenhagen Ølfestival 2012. Reddish brown color. Sweet very worty and toffeish aroma. Flavors of toffee, nuts, oak and vanilla. Weird woody taste.

Unclear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, brown bread, dark roasted notes ! Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, light coffee - dark roasted, orange notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120512]
