weaselkenievil (272), Cheshire, England Feb 13, 2008 Cask at the Smithfield Hotel in Manchester. Great pub with good company. A mixture of family, friends and new friends. Amber colour, lovely palate and aftertaste. Hoppy which usually flys my kite in the right amounts. Slight typical English bitter thing going on which doesn’t usually fly my kite but still kite flying material. fonefan (4000), Ulfborg, Denmark Feb 5, 2008 Cask (gravity filled jug) @ Smithfield Hotel & Bar, Manchester M4, UK. Clear medium amber color with a small, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Nutty malt aroma with some wheat and straw. Great balance in the flavour. Malt and hops are both totally obvious but blend really well. Excellent bready malt and aromatic hops. Slight alcohol showing in the finish but it just gives it a nice kick. Lovely and clean on the palate. Nice stuff.
