COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle Conditioned, Occasional;
Stiletto is a refreshing golden ale with a honey twist. Brewed with the finest local malts giving the ale a rich full bodied smooth flavour. It is a single hop brew using a fragrant and flowery aroma hop, with a citrus character. This ale can be served slightly chilled.

3rd and final beer of a ’Random Beer Tasting Evening’ (20th April 2010). This bottle conditioned beer was poured into my new Abbot Ale glass tankard. A thin white head sat on top of a lager golden body, none of the fine sediment rich in vitamin B left the bottle, so the beer was clear and bright. The only smell I could find was of hops and a flowery, floral hint as the beer warmed in the glass. Refreshing and hoppy in the taste, no great flavours otherwise. I was a bit disappointed with this beer, it was however taken after darker/stronger beers so my drinking order might not have helped?

Cask gravity, The Duke of Wellington, Norwich. First average beer of the night. Brilliant orange amber with fine white lace and rim. Fruity snout with cherry hints, fresh but tired-smelling. Candy floss, cherry and peach fruit; flowery hop and tea notes. Nice clean buttery biscuit maltiness to finish. It just tastes like this.

Cask conditioned at The Kings Head, Norwich. Orange gold with white head. Sweetish honeyed beer, quite thick on the palate. There is a syrupy, background note, we thought strawberry, with a touch of caramel. Pretty reasonable overall.

Bottle, 4.5%. Yeasty and bready aroma. Almost clear bright orange colour. The flavour is a lot like the aroma, yeasty and fruity. Citric finish, slightly sour.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Peterboro BF 2008. A golden coloured beer with a tiny whitish ring of head. The aroma is farty and sulphurous. The taste is sweet and farty and pretty nasty. I’m guessing now six days later as I type, that it was the honey that made this beer disagreeable.
