COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arctic Wit is a beer brewed specifically to celebrate the 23rd international Conference on The History of Cartography held in Copenhagen in July 2009. It is a pale and unfiltered, zesty and refreshing Belgian style wheat beer with a frothy head. The body is light, the aroma and flavor is subtly spicy, citrusy and elegant. Dry, light and fresh on the palate with a short, crisp aftertaste. Arctic wit is ideal to wash away the dust from old maps from your throat, or as company to fish, seafood and salads.

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of wheat, lemon peal, and some coriander. The flavor is sweet with notes of strong notes of wheat, combined with medium notes of lemon peal, coriander, and alcohol leading to a dry wheaty finish.

Hazy stray colour, white head. Aroma has weak wheat malt and citrus. Balanced light, but full, mouthfeel. Flavour has nothing to offer. Some wheat in background.

600 ml bottle. From København, Denmark. Shared w/ Brandman.
Hazy yellow colour with small creamy white head. Wheat, citrus, toffee and some yeast in mildish aroma. Flavour is also quite mild with wheat, yeast and toffee. Thin and even slightly watery Witbier. It probably goes well with old maps which I didn’t happen to have.

Medium white head. Hazy opaque pale yellow body. Light mealy fruity aroma with herbal notes. Dryish mealy herbal citric taste with milky notes. Mid-bodied. Mealy mouthfeel. Dry floral herbal aftertaste. Fairly bland and uninspired. Not very fresh. (0.6l bottle from Nørrebro Bryghus.)

Bottle. It’s a hazy pale golden beer with a minimal white head. Orange, citrus and pale malts on the nose. The flavor is citrusy, mostly orange, with pale malts and some citrus. Medium body, quite effervescent. Ctirusy finish. It lacks quite a bit on aroma and flavor, but it’s a decent beer with quenching qualities. 091022

A meaty weissbeer. I find it hard to find the clear Belgian influences, but there’s IS a hint of Hoegaarden in it. I had the special edition, which was that is different. Still I think this is more German than Belgian.

Pinball (10846) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 23, 2009
bottle at home clear yellow, smooth small white head. fruity yeasty eggy aroma, orange, citrus, peach, very faint but still there sweetness like peach melba or pina colada. flavor is close to aroma, some hoppy bitterness added. mild. yeasty, citrus flavor only in the backgroud, serve cold in a large glass and it will do well compared to the more common german weissbier brands like franciskaner. flavor is mild and well rounded, but never really gets very interesting.

Bottle. Clear, pale golden with a small white head. Acidic, citrussy aroma with hints of spices. Flavours are more spiced with coriander in the lead. Banana notes. Good body. Tastes more like a kristallweizen than a Belgian-style wit.
