Draught @ Norrebro Bryghus, Ryesgade 3, 2200 Copenhagen, Denmark.

Unclear dark red brown - amber colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, orange - citrus, sugar - muscovado sugar, wood notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hoppy, warm malty, caramel, hop bitter, wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120419]

Draft. A hazy dark amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, mLt, hops, and citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, hay, malt, and minerals, leading to a bitter finishn.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy dark amber with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity hoppy and light roasted malty to caramelish. Toasted malty, solid bitter, fruity and quite dry. Bitter and dense malty finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear orange-brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, cookies, hops, grass and citrus. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, bread, hops and grass with notes of grapefruits. Dry hoppy finish.

Draught at Nørrebro Bryghus. Clear red/brown - white head. Fruity. Toasted. Berries. Red berries. Sweetness. Tobacco. Toffee. Light butterscotch. Light fatness. Grassy. Citrus. Nice hoppy. OK.

Chopp.Deep amber like colour, small head, off-white. Aroma has fruity hops and toasty malt. Good mouthfeel. Fresh flavour, hoppy fruity and malty, caramel, good bitterness. Dry finish.

Draft at the source. Hazy variegated purple color, thick beige head. Aroma of coffee, cherries, caramel. Taste is toasted caramel, subtle coffee grounds, finish of cocoa powder. Not bad.

Tap at Norrebro. Muddy maroon pour with medium carbonation. Foam leaves webby lacing. Nose is sticky, old, oxidized, heavy acetaldehyde (green and red apple slices). Taste is astringent, tannic, like sucking on tree bark. Total palate wrecker. Unusable in a beer tasting. Great for not being able to taste anything for 2-3 hours.

Draught at the brewpub. Dark reddish brown color. Aromas and flavors of burnt caramel, nuts, toasted bread and some citrus. Some vanilla ice cream in the aroma. Full bodied but not sweet. These red ales are not my style of beer.
