Pours a dark golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma is grassy hops, malt and sweet caramel. Taste is earthy, malt with a low bitterness and rich hop flavour. Typical English style IPA, very well done.

Nice balance of hops and sweeter malts. Would enjoy this again if I had the chance.

Clear orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and moderate hoppy - fruity. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Bitter and dry finish. The English hops used don’t give as much flavor but the bitterness is certainly there. 171110
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sammy (7035) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 14, 2011
LCBO acquisition. Pours light lagerish colour and its lacey. Neutral aromas. Easy smooth mouthfeel, a little bitter this would be more refreshing on a hot summer day. Understated grassy bitterness. An English style pale ale. Boozy finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Boutip (3971) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 12, 2011
Bottle: Poured a hazy bright orangey color ale with a large foamy head with great retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light bitter malt with nice lightly sweet caramel malt notes. Taste is very nice and easily quaffable with great notes of lightly sweet caramel malt with earthy and bitter hops which provide a nice balance. Body is quite full with great carbonation. Very well brewed and easily drinkable.

Pours light amber with a small white head. Aroma has caramel malts, some hops, slightly citric, orange, light grape, fruity malts. Taste has a good amount of bitterness, evident caramel malts character, bready and bread crust malts. Hops are mostly bittering. On the darker end of the ipa-scale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Metalchopz (1749) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 26, 2011
Interesting... an India Pale Ale from Denmark, in a 600ml bottle. Pours a golden-amber colour with a big frothy off-white head, great retention and good foamy lace. Grainy malt scent with notes of oranges, honey and Euro Pils hops. Oily mouthfeel. The taste is kind of bland, almost watered-down compared to the aromas. A little hop is felt in the finish, but nothing exciting for an IPA. Glad I tried this one once (but that’s enough). Thanks LCBO for the import.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 manuchampions (1217) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 25, 2011
600ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a very clear amber with half inch of persistent off white head. Aroma is very cereal in malt, some mild hops, mildly citric. Taste is sharp in mild hops (European?) with a toffee like malt backing that recedes into a very grainy, cereal note. There are some jammy fruit note here as well but they are plowed under by the cereal malts. Finish is almost all malt. Decent but not worth the premium for importing.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blankboy (5152) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2011
Bottle [600ml]. Pours a clear orange-amber with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of UK hops foremost followed by some fruit, caramel malt and grain. Nice, refreshing flavour is fruity and grassy, backed by caramel malt and a decent bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. A pleasant easy-to-drink beer, I enjoyed it.
