COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Nørrebro Bryghus’s interpretation of the classic India Pale Ale. A powerful beer brewed exclusively from English Marris Otter malt which gives a deep and an intense malt character. Plenty of fruity ale aromas supplemented by bold notes of classic English aroma hops added after fermentation (dry hopping).
Big body, high bitterness and some sweetness characterize this golden 6.5 % ABV beer.

An orang beer with a fine dense head. The aroma is slightly sweet and hoppy. The flavor is sweet, malty, but with only a slight bitterness for an IPA. And the bitterness is neither as clean as a standard IPA - but the palate is great - which is seldom for a modern IPA.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2010 (On tap) Clear, pale pilsener golden with a small, white head. Vague caramel aroma, whilst the hops don’t really show. Medium body with lightly sweet, malty accents quickly balanced by rather bitter hops. A slight, floral touch but in general the hop character is a bit disappointing - they leave more bitterness than aroma. But at least this was a clean sample. 160906

(On tap) Golden beer with a small, creamy head. Hmm, this is not how I remember it: A strange acidity fighting with the bitterness to gain the drinker’s attention. They both succeed, but this is certainly no pleasure. This must be off and I reckon it calls for a re-rate sometime. 4/3/4/2/9=2,2 110404

Orange colour with small head. The aroma is dominated by hops. The taste has a good balance of malt and hops, with notes of toffee.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sweet fruit, some red berries as well as mild notes of rhubarb pie. Flavour is mixed rhubarb and pumpkin pie along with some spices and flowery hops. A very different brew, and I really like this twisted thing!

Bottled. Pale amber. Strong citrus and toffee aroma. Sweet and malty, the hop presence gets more obvious towards the finish, which holds piney bitterness.

6th June 2010. RBESG 10 Grand Tasting at the Brasserie 4:20 Warehouse. Big thanks to Alex for letting us liberate this from his warehouse shelves! Hazy amber beer, good off white head. Soft palate. Creamy maly with some light hops. Well joined up but standard stuff - may have been a little past it’s best.

Cloudy amber color. Maybe something’s wrong, as there is a sour note in the nose, and a sour bitterness in the taste.
