COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

(on tap) There where a time when all we drank was yellow, fizzy beer. Some of them where quite strong, guldøl. I thought I had had my last of those. This mistake proved me wrong. On the other hand; this is the first beer in the category "European Strong Lager" made by a danish "micro".

UPDATED: APR 11, 2009 (On tap) Clear, fully golden with a creamy, white head. Aroma of malt, fruit and alcohol. Full-bodied with a very high malt sweetness and a surprisingly - for an Eisbock - distinct bitterness. 150207

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2007 Draught @ the brewpub. Golden coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Fruits, light yeast, some herbs and light alcohol in the nose. Flavour is spiced, fruity, alcoholdense and sweet. Medium bodied. Quite dry. Smooth apple end with a nice alcoholwarmth and a light bitter note. Very nice. It is an Eisbock, but the beer would win significantly, if it wasn’t served EIScold.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow coloured with a white head. Sweet aroma of malts and caramel. Sweet flavour of malts, caramel and hops with notes of alcohol. Hoppy finish. More hoppy and less alcoholic than usual eisbocks.

Draft. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is very sweet and very malty, but also with notes of alcohol, and some fruit, especially peaches, and light perfumy and dusty notes of hops. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit, combined with notes of flowers and honey, leading to a dry bitter end with the flowery notes lingering around. The alcohol leaves a slight burn in the mouth. Nice mistake.

Draught at NB. Clear golden – white head. Dry, cactus, fruity, apple, pine needles, sweetness, a bit sharp, light alcho-warming, light licorice, light "dusty" yeast flavor. Very nice for a mistake !!
