3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From tap at the brewpub. Pours amber, light hazy and with a dense off-white head. Solid aroma of currants and with a mild caramel malt base blending in to a mix with a delicate acidity. Aroma goes into a more herbal to mouldy note as the beer warms up. Flavour starts fruity sweet and stays sweet for quite a while before a nice bitterness and acidity takes over into the finish. Keeps lingering bitter for quite a while. Very nice.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of black currant and lactic acid. The flavor is sweet mlaty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of black currant, which lends the beer a slight acidity, before a slightly dry berry finish sets in.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 11, 2009 (On tap) Slightly hazy, reddish amber with a creamy, lacing, off-white head. Interesting aroma of lightly acidic fruit and aroma hops. Medium body with a very limited malt feel. Instead you get a vague yet very fresh fruity touch combined with a very distinct and bitter finish of aroma hops. A very interesting and different take on a fruit beer. Currant has two meanings in English I believe, one being a sort of raisin, the other being blackcurrant. I very much assume, that in this case the latter ingredient is used. 261107
