Bottle. It pours deep ruby with a small off-white head. The nose is dark fruit, berry, red grape, caramel and wood. The taste is caramel, dark fruit, berry, almost vinous aspect, earth and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not much to it, but smooth and easy drinking. Ok.

Bottle from local supermarket. Pours clear brown with red hue, minimal beige head that disappears quickly and leaves no lacing at all. Aroma of ripe fruits, malty, caramel, chocolate, slightly hoppy. The taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter. Smooth, creamy palate with a long bitter finish.

16.11.2014. 0,4l Bottle from Nørrebro in Copenhagen. Brown colour with almost no head. Sweet malty aroma. Rich malty flavours with a good balanse between malt sweetness, alcohol and the low bitterness. Aftertaste is malty, soft and sweet. Very nice. Love the softness.

Dark brown body, beige head which gushed into my nose... a springbock, yes. Aroma; dough, caramel malts, raisins, Taste; sweet dark malts, juicy prunes, grassy fresh wet soda hops, chocolate, moves towards chocolate, hazelnuts and dark fruits in finish. Normal on palate, juicy body. Nice enough, pretty sweet. Recommended with meat dishes, but I would take this along with the fruit dish, as it is so sweet. [33cl brown bottle, 7%abv, 16°, B@Alko for 6€, T@höme]

A slow gusher. Pours a clear burgundy with small lightly tanned head. Pleasant bready/biscuity malt aroma. Notes of fruit-cake. Medium body. Semi-sweet peppery, dark caramelly malt flavor. Mild earthy bitterness. Lingerings malts in a lasting finish. [Bottle from Irma, København, enjoyed at DFDS Crown Seaways]

Bottle (40cl). BB 11 Dec 2012, consumed 2 May 2014 (i.e. well past its sell-by date - it seems to have coped well though). Hazy reddish brown colour. Inch-thick beige head that reduces quite fast and leaves a thin film and scattered lacing. Pleasant christmassy aroma of oxidized dried fruit (especially raisins), sweet sherry, malt, dust. Semi-sweet, vinous taste with dried fruits (raisins, citrus) and malt. A mild bitterness and some acidity gives a good balance. Medium body, soft carbonation, slightly thin/watery mouthfeel. Lasting bitter-sweet, raisin-dominated aftertaste.
