The taste is caramel, dark fruit, berry, almost vinous aspect, earth and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not much to it, but smooth and easy drinking. Ok.

Draft at the brewpub - Copenhagen. Pours deep briwn with hints of red, and a fine, creamy head. Dark bready malt nose with hints of dough and toast. Medium sweet flavor with doughy malts, toasted sugars, brown bread. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with dry brown bread, light toast, hints of dried fruits. Very drinkable for a doppelbock but lacks the sugary punch I expect for the style.

Bottle. Pours clear dark ruby with stable light tan head. Clear aroma of malt with touches of caramel and fruit. Sweetish, malty aroma with distinct fruity and hoppy notes. Roasty finish. Decent.

Slightly sweet malty and fruity nose. Large pale fast disappearing head. Clear dark black reddish color. Malty soft roasty taste with some syrup. Some hops bitterness. Easy to drink.

Bottled. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. The aroma is malty and nutty with light roasted notes. The flavour is light roasted with some dark malty and nutty notes.

Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 04.03.13. Pours a clear deep cooper with a khaki head. Decent lacing. Malty aroma, a bit dusty. Bit of dark fruit notes as it warms. Sweet flavour, malty ...caramel as it warms. A wee bit watery. Light metallic overtone as it warms. Finish is sweet and malty with a lingering tart, mild bitterness and a touch of sweet liquorice. Overall a decent, solid bock, but nothing special. 12.02.13.

Pours dark brown with a little white head. Aroma of dark, bready maltiness with notes of biscuit, rye pudding and a hint of caramel and dark fruits - decent but not very strong. Aroma is malt-based: no bitterness, only light sweetness, some roastiness. Flavour of bready maltiness and rye pudding is most prominent, also some caramel. Rye pudding stays until finish. Palate is medium bodied, slicky. Alcohol is hidden well. Not bad, well done doppelbock.

Kaatuu lasiin tummancolanruskeana ja kirkkaana, vaahto on melko iso ja jättää reunalle kerroksen. Haju on vahvan limppuinen, paahteisen kahvinen, banaaninen, päärynäinen, yrttinen ja hieman ylikypsän hedelmäinen. Maku on yrttinen, käyneen hedelmäinen, limppuisen maltainen, banaaninen ja hieman marjaisen hapan. Suutuntuma on pirskahtelevan täyteläinen, hiilihappoa tuntuu olevan. Kokonaisuutena tämä painui ehdottomasti positiivisen puolelle, vaikka hinta on niin kova, ettei varmaan tule uudestaan kokeiltua. Nautitaan nyt tästä.

Bottle. Pours clear dark copper in color with creamy tan head. Nutty,
dark syrup sweetness and some alcohol in aroma. Malty sweetness, brown
sugar and some hints of nuttyness in taste. Sweet in aftertaste,
perhaps some fudge in there too. Nice, feels a bit like a brown ale.

Deep mahogany brown red/black with short frothy 2 finger head and some lacing. Medium strong aroma has sweet malting, alcohol, dark ripe fruits, raisins, slightly roasted caramel. Medium to light body and bit light feel, sweet, finish also sweetish mixed with alcohol, malting on top in flavor, nuts and resiny notes like oh6gdx pointed out. I feel like the flavors would have needed more support from the body in this beer; just ok now.
