COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: An extra strong version of our London style porter, brewed in January 2009. After primary and secondary fermentation for three months on tank, the beer was racked into French oak barrels, previously used for a Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux wine. After 11 months in the barrel, the beer is silky smooth and full bodied with rich chocolaty malt flavours, some red wine character and hints of vanilla and oak. Surprisingly dry on the palate, smooth and easy drinking with a complex, sweet aftertaste.
Ingredients: Barley malt, honey and hops.

Bottle on the 10.43 Euston to Cotteridge express big thanks to Paulo for this ’R’ treat, 24/01/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is big and barrely, charr, chocolate, malt, toffee, red wine tunes. Taste comprises dark malts, red wine licks, woody, mellow dark fruits, spice, prunes, plummy, cocoa powder, red berry linger. Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Scott. Huge thanks for this one man!!! Pour is slightly murky brown with a small tan head that quickly dissipated. Earthy, dirty, cocoa, coffee, grassy, oaky, and red wine in the aroma. Taste is tangy, oaky, light cocoa, vanilla, sour orange, biscuit, lemon notes, and leather with a big sour tangy finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Really cool beer and a real treat.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is dark fruits, red wine, vanilla, oak, something tart, and chocolate. Flavour is much like the aroma – with a dry finish.
