600 ml bottle poured a hazy reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of toffee, cherry, plum, cinnamon and clove. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavoprs of toffee, dark fruit, cinnamon and light clove with a smooth lingering spiced finish.

600 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours an opaque reddish/orangeish brown with small tan head. Aroma is quite spicy with ginger and clove and a bit of toffee. Taste is also strong on the ginger and clove with more subtle toffee and fruit notes. Lingering spiciness in the somewhat warm finish. Good.

500. Pours an opaque dark brown with a gorgeous dense, billowing light tan head. Plenty of dotty lace. Big Christmassy nose--lots of cinnamon and cardamom showing, almost pie-like. Creamy medium body, watery in spots, carb is too low. Spicy, caramelly, brown-bread-y, molasses-y mid-palate. Long dry pie spice finish. A pleasant, easy drinking winter/holiday beer that’s a little too comfortable on the sweet side of the spice rack.

Pours hazy deep red. Thin head. I get cranberry, dates, bread. Maybe raisin. Definitely ginger. There are cloves in it but I don’t get them so much. Bit of sharpness from the rye and the alcohol. Nice sipper.

Hazy red brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is malty, dried fruit and very spicy. Flavor is rather sweet. Dry finish and a soft mouthfeel. Too spicy. 201110

Decent, but not one of the best spice/herb brew I’ve had. Very approachable for the style with full, but muted spices. I described it as a Darker Leffe Brune clove, banana, cinnamon and nutmeg. Yes it is very "Christmas" but that was so December.. I liked this one, but can’t rate it any higher.

Bottle - 600ml. Pours a dark brown body with ruby glints and an average off-white frothy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with ginger, spicy, and fruity hints. taste is well balanced and hides the alcohol pretty well. Ends with a decent, warming bittersweet finish.

Foggy red brown, fine bubbles create a fine off white head. Aroma of soft spice with a hint of lemon and mineral. Tastes like all kinds of rooty spice with a beguiling caramel-toffee finish. Overtones of citrus plays out in flavor, spicy round finish that is not overly sweet. Balance!

Pour garnet with a decent beige head but it was short lived with minimal lacing. Aromas of pumpkin pie/gingerbread, nutmeg, cardamon, cinnamon, and other Christmas holiday aromas. Taste bready, cinnamon, nutmeg, malty backbone, caramel/toffee, and a distinct taste of gingerbread cookies. Mouthfeel is medium body mild carb. Overall a good winter/holiday brew.

600 mL bottle. Rusty brown with little head. The aroma is pleasantly spicy with some brown sugar and prunes. Mostly brown spice and caramel in the flavour. Some honey in the finish. It’s nice, because the spicing isn’t overdone. Solid body. Good winter brew.
