Deep amber pour with a thin head. The aroma is quite spicy and fruity. Lots of deep rich sweetness and a bit of spiced fruitcake. Plummy and rich with a lot of ginger, clove and cinnamon. There is a lot of sweet dried fruit and a bit of peppery alcohol on the back. Rich and sweet. It’s a lovely winter ale.

Foggy red brown, fine bubbles create a fine off white head. Aroma of soft spice with a hint of lemon and mineral. Tastes like all kinds of rooty spice with a beguiling caramel-toffee finish. Overtones of citrus plays out in flavor, spicy round finish that is not overly sweet. Balance!

Bottle [600ml]. Pours a lovely deep red-brown with a large mostly-lasting frothy beige head. Lovely aroma of spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and clove), sweet malt, dark fruit, brown sugar and a bit of rye -- smells like Xmas. Slightly sweet flavour of the aforementioned spices along with sweet malt, toffee, brown sugar and dark fruit. Light spicy bitter finish. Medium bodied. A nice beer and an enjoyable one to have on a cold Winter night.

2006 version. Redbrown with a huge dense head. The aroma leaks of christmas with notes of rum, prunes, oranges. The flavour is spicy and has orange peels, cinnamon, liquorice, cane sugar and a bit of alcohol. Very nice!

Clear medium brown with no head. Peppermint, spice, chocolate, and grain aroma and taste with some cinnamon in the finish, but a slightly too thin palate.
