COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Brewed with lightly roasted Kenyan coffee from Copehagen’s Coffee Collective.

Draught @ BAJT on November 24. Pours black with a thick, creamy mocha head that slowly dissipates. Smell is sweet with lots of coffee grounds, roasted malts, prunes and raisins. Kind smells like those asian coffee candies. Taste is sweet, bitter and slightly sour with roasted malts, prunes, hazel and chocolate. Finish is dry, bitter and loaded with coffee.

Clear dark black color with a large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, coffee, chocolate notes, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and very smooth, carbonation is soft. [20091022]

On tap at Esbjerg Beerfestival. It’s a black beer with a small, tan head. Lovely coffee nose with indications of a pleasant sweetness to show up in the flavor. Roasted and slightly berry-ish too. The flavor is dry, coffee-bitter and roasted, with a dark candi-like sweetness to mellow it. Medium to full body, dry and smooth. Coffee-bitter finish. Nice, really nice and tasteful, especially considering it’s only weighing in at 4.8%. 091022

Draught at EsBF09. Mild roasted note, like unbrewed coffee. Black colour. Big stable creamy brown head. The flavour is nicely grassy, piney from the hops. Of course with a good roasted coffee note as well. Flavourful and well-balanced.
