Bottle 40 cl. Pours an opaque dark brown with a beige head. Farty phenolic aroma atop some chocolaty richness. Medium body, low carbonation, chocolate and herbs(!). No real bitterness. Odd if interesting. 251211

Bottle. A fingerthick, dense, beige head sits on top of a dark brown body. Roasted, chocolatey caramel aroma with some dark coffee and a hoppy note and some hints of dms it seems. Some raisin. Medium to full body, quite dry and pleasantly carbonated. The flavor has roasted malts and a touch of licorice and caramel, some bitterness balances the finish. A quite nice brown ale, but I can’t help thinking it’s a bit boring. 120324

Dark ruby color, steady beige creamy head, lace. Rye bread and ginger bread aroma, some brown sugar. Light bodied. Some brown sugar, although not so sweet, more ryeish and grainy. Some chocolate. A bit lame, perhaps best with some spicey food.
