Dark brown in colour with a tiny wee tan head. Aroma of bitter chocolate is predominant with some hints of grassy nut oil aromas. Relatively flat, with some bitter sweet taste notes. Medium body with a long and rather dry finish. Good balance.

Copenhagen 26/9 2015. 40 cl bottle from Kvickly. Pours clear copper dark brown with off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma is sweetish and of caramel and roasted malts. Medium carbonation and watery palate. Taste is sugary, syrup, toffee and a little roastiness. Way too sweet for this diabetic.

Sensible brown ale with persistent creamy foam. The aroma is most caramel, and the taste is distinct dark caramel, dark bread, a bit of light chocolate and with good notes of nuts and faint hint of spices. Hop bitterness is gentle and put a fine edge that retains this brown ales malt sweetness sensibly. Quite tasty brown ale.

Bottle. Dark brown body, small offwhite head. Aroma of bread, hazelnut, mocha, burned malt. Taste of nuts, earthy hops, chocolate. Burned taste in finish, with a roasty aftertaste. Medium bitterness. It’s a bit different with its nut/burned taste and I like that.

Tumma, lähes läpinäkymättömän mustan värinen olut. Vaahto häviää nopeasti. Tuoksussa hieman lakritsaa. Maultaan tasapainoinen ja aavistuksen hapan. Lopussa humala nousee esiin, ei kuitenkaan erityisen voimakkaasti. Myös maltaisuus korostuu. Suutuntuma on puolitäyteläinen. Kohtuullisen hyvä olut, mutta ei mikään erikoisuus.
