Dark acidic roast coffee aromas with a touch of toasted malt and a hint of dark chocolate. Smooth and lightly silky on the palate. Lightly roasted malt start with hints of coffee, sweetened with heavy cream. The cream carries well into the finish where a mild lactose and coconut milk flavor kicks in. Fairly dry and leaning toward boring in the linger. This comes off as a very simple and easy to drink kind of brew. I would say that its strength is in it simplicity. kkearn (1016), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured very deep brown, with a moderate-sized brown head. Rich roasted coffee aroma. Flavor is primarily sweet chocolate malt with some smoke and espresso; the coffee is not overwhelming as in some coffee flavored stouts. Dry, chocolate finish. Nice stout. larsniclas (3392), Gothenburg, Sweden

This one became one of the highlights during a summer trip to Copenhagen in early august. Coffee aroma in the direction of espresso. Pitch black body. Almost no head. Lightly roasted flavour with a complex, but balanced taste of coffee beans, cocoa, discreet liquorice and even some dark fruits. The finish is made up of smooth bitterness (03.08.2007). yespr (12443), Copenhagen O, Denmark
