It’s dark, red mahogany with a small head and the aroma is vinous with notes of raisin, malt, caramel, grapes, “fat” toffee and light wood. The flavor is sweet and vinous with notes of raisin, caramel, malt, light wood and cognac. It is very, very well balanced, incredibly nice and harmonic.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2011 A Special treat from Keith! Pours an opaque orange, golden into the glass. Aroma is intense raisin, wood, intense toffee caramel malt, dates, bit of booze. From the first sniff it’s obvious that this is something very special. Mouthfeel is thick, chewy. Flavor is concentrated toffee, raisin, dates, lots of woodiness, brown sugar. So well structured and such complex maltiness that the concentration of the flavors doesn’t seem the least bit overbearing

bottle... medium shiny brown, thin tan head, no lace... the aroma is all smooth cognac, smells great, accented with brown sugar... the taste is equally outstanding, has me be debating my long standing belief that the bourbon is one of the best barley wines out there, brown sugar, molasses, malt, raisins and cognac, love drinking this... must try

0.375 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Opaque reddish brown color. Thick aroma of soya sauce, cherry, raisins toffee, vanilla, oak and complex alcohol. Sweet complex toffeish and raisiny flavor with raspberry, oak, vanilla. Thick full body. Very thick condensed taste, a great sipper! The aroma is so rich that I’m fully satisfied by the aroma only.

Murky red brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of sherry, cognac, red wine, cognac, caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, and alcohol. Taste of vanilla, caramel malts, nuts, wine, cognac, dark fruits, and somewhat sharp alcohol.

Great beer from Nörrebro. Smoth and elegant feeling for a beer in this alcoholic region.

Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour with small head. Aroma is raisins, vanilla, some mild sourish wood, fruits as well as some mild vanillaish notes. Flavour is raisins, some vanilla, mild notes of dark fruit, some wood as well as mild noes of spices and alcohol. Really pleasantly balanced brew.

Dark brown colour with beige head. Aroma is oak, cognac, alcohol. Flavour is oak, cognac, licorice, hop, alcohol, vanilla, fruit.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Wood, spice, ripe fruits . Intense. Flavour is woody, full of spice, fruits and berries. very smooth and complex. Medium to full bodied. dry fruity and woody end. Very good.
