2011. Aged bottle @ the brewery/restaurant after a beer matching dinner so this might slightly inflate the score. Murky brown, no head. Aromas of caramel and Christmas pudding fruit courtesy of the port as well as a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavours abound, with Christmas pudding being predominant. Luscious, smooth mouthfeel with its large alcohol volume present, however this does not overly detract. A much better finish than a glass of port at the end of a great dinner.

Ølfestival Horsens 2006. Draught. This one was the first surprise from Nørrebro on the festival. It’s the barley wine Little Korkny Ale that has been added port wine, and that makes the ABV rise - 13%, a powerfull beer. It’s dark and reddish brown with a nice head. The aroma has a lot of port wine and dark fruit, and so does the flavour, where I find sweetness, caramel and berry sourness. It’s really nice 1626
