Sehr würziger und aromatischer Antrunk, der im Mittelteil weiter besteht. Süß, stark würzig und malzig, etwas schokoladig werdend. Langer, etwas vom Alkohol geprägter scharfer Abgang. Super! /12/12/12//12

Hazy amber body. Aroma of caramel (hasn’t got the hop aroma of the driehopped version because of obvious reasons). Moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Great!

[ Courtesy of yespr ]. Unclear medium amber brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, caramel, port wine, licorice, alcohol, woody notes. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat. [20081025]

Entered to celebrate my rating number 11,800. An unclear amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is very sweet with strong notes of port wine, dextrose, alcohol, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, port wine, leading to a dry woody finish. The alcohol warms the palate.

RB DK #1700: From cask at Nørrebro. Pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head, a bit bubbly. Aroma is a killer of smooth and wineous notes with a complex port barrel base. Flavour follows this closely with a load of dark wineous port flavours nicely matching the sweetness and alcohol strength at once. Lovely port flavours in a smooth and warming finish.

SHIG (4675) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - OCT 26, 2008
Bottle @ LCRBM 08: Poured a dark red-brown with a small white head. The aroma was dark fruits with hops. Taste is port and oak with hops and just enough alcohol zing, keeps the mouth watering for more.

Ober (2812) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - OCT 26, 2008
Bottle@LCRBM08. A hazy dark red colored beer, with a small off white head. The aroma of port with hops and malt in the back. The taste of burning port, alcohol, dark fruits. The aftertaste is warm and bitter.
