Draught@CPH BF 2013. Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some mild caramel and slight wooden notes. Flavour is sour wood, some toasted notes, liquorice, alcohol as well as some slight muscovadolike notes. Mild alcohol in the finish.

Draught. Roasted aroma. Black colour. Small brown head. The flavour is very roasted, not so bitter. Distinct liquorice note, perhaps dry molassis.

Dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, dusty licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dusty malt, salty licorice, dark malt, english licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130107]

Draught at brewpub a week ago. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, lots of coffee, chocolate, licorice and smokey notes. Aroma the same. Medium to full body. Sweet taste with a dry finish. Will go and get have it again soon.

Draught at Norrebro Bryghus. Pitch black beer with a small beige/brownish head. Licorice aroma, heavy licorice, pine needles, chocolate, roasted, molasses, candy notes, raisins, caramel, woody notes. Licorice flavor, caramel, smoked notes, dry woody, ash, tar notes, molasses, chocolate, some bitterness. Flavor is more balanced than the aroma. Nice bitterness and with notes of prunes and mango. Nice roasted finish with licorice, soot and cocoa powder.

Draught. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Strong coffee notes. Moderate bitter very strange flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

(Draught at Nörrebro Bryghus, Copenhagen, 26 Jan 2013) Black colour with frothy, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with liquorice, salmiak, black coffee and burnt sugar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, liquorice, cacao, burnt sugar and a fairly dry finish with a generous, roasty bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Very nice and tasty, with a rich liquorice character.
