COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 26, 2012
On tap. Pours an opaque black with a creamy light brown head. The nose is thick with licorice and has a whiff of tar. Quite full-bodied and chewy. Somewhat roasty and again plenty of licorice. The finish is dry if not particularly bitter. Usually I quite dig molasses in my beer, but this is rather overdone! 141212

thewolf (9883) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 5, 2012
Tap @ Nørrebro Bryghus.
Pours completely black with a nice, staying, creamy, brown head. Aroma has roasted malts, burnt sugar, softly smoky, light coffee. Low carbonation, fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is heavy roasted, leading off flavours of fat English liqourice, smoke, burnt wood. A light metallic twang in there that detracts. Very dry malty bitter finish.
