Small off-white head, nice amber color, not completely clear. Aroma of tropical fruits and flowers, probably due to Cascade strain of hops, balanced off by sweet malts like a true Premium Lager should. Noticeable hints of caramel. Medium bitter taste, somewhat fruity, bread and dough alongside, delicate flowery notes. Medium body, definite creamy texture and soft carbonation. Finish is medium long, less bitter than the taste and more fruity than it. All in all a perfect example of what can be done with a lager, really balanced but at the same time strong and concrete, positively surprising.

Keg at the brewpub - Copenhagen. Pours clear copper with a fine, creamy off-white head. Bready and somewhat doughy malt nose, hints of dried caramel. Light to medium sweet flavor with simple bready malts, some toasted sugar, light bitter toasted hay. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, further ready malts and mild bitter hay and leaves, some dried caramel, light crunchy cereal. Tasty lager.

A software floras aroma with notes og toast. A clea amber Color with a fast dissapearing head a medium bitter taste without any sweetness. Thin texture with fizzy carbonation. A simple refreshing lager

Clear copper color. Aroma: Slightly hoppy, caramel and bread. Taste: Very crisp. Bready, not a tremendous hop profile, but very balanced with the malt. The palate is pretty agressive. The finish isn’t very appealing. Not an extremely off-putting beer, but I don’t think it sets a higher standard for the beer type.

Bottle, 5.2%. Mild hoppy aroma, light caramel and pine notes. Clear amber colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour starts off quite bitter, turning more malty, but not sweet. Good mouthfeel. Quite clean finish, medium bitterness, slightly rough.

Cold can, courtesy of our host in Copenhagen. It’s a hoppy lager - there’s not much more to say about it.

33 cl can. Nice thick head, golden colour. Flowery bitter taste with a hint of caramel and honey, a bit watery though. Decent lager but does not stand up to the brooklyn brewery lager.

This is supposedly how americans brewed their beer before the prohibition, and hence way maltier than modern american tradition for hoppy brew. But it’s really well balanced, and I doubt the americans where really this good a brewing beer back then. Hell...I doubt even the danes themselves could make beer like this a hundred years ago. A really good lager with an outstanding pour. Palate is sweet and malty while the tastebuds discover some quite neutral aroma hops. Overall a good premium lager, and maybe the best danish lager I’ve tasted for a long time.
