Commercial Description:
North Bridge Extreme is the brewers gift to Anders on the 1 year aniversary for the opening of Nørrebro Bryghus. It is inspired from the South-West Californian triple IPA's. It is brewed on English ale-malt, adjusted with different colormalt and spiced with enourmous amounts of hops. A dark golden extremely bitter ale with a distinct hop aroma.

Bottle from Provisions Market in St. Louis. My first reaction was that this was an interesting take on the CA style, although I would not have guessed CA from tasting it. I found there to be more emphasis here on warmer spices than the west coast style, with more notes of ginger and mace than I would have expected, and a decided note of honey. Also present here is the characteristic pine and citrus, but the honey is what stands out to me. Enjoyable and interesting.

bottle at Ft Wayne locals tasting - Pours hazy copper with a lasting head that laces well. It smells very hoppy. The citrus accented hops flavor is strong without being overpowering as this beer also has good malt balance.

aroma grassy and dark fruit. 7 looks : unclear brown, thick light brown head. 4 flavor well balanced bitter, quite some hops, almost acid flavors from the hops. some caramel, some sweet note, but the hops win out. aftertaste lingers for a long time, bitter. alc is very well hidden, you feel it when you warm up. 7 palate 4 overall 16

interesting, somewhat balanced, and mellowed; this is an IPA that was imported as an IIPA as it should as an import as similar to tradition at least I say why yes. But okay... not quite like an IPA or IIPA for that matter: huge beige head; dead, hazy copper body; sticky; balanced, but on the sweeter end; complex little hop-wine :o)

bottle, creamy head on a beautyful colored beer, dark orange, reddish highlights, perfectly clear..the fragrance is vinious with notes of raisin, fresh powerful hop invites you to taste it..flavor of delicious creamy caramel, bitter orange marmalade, impressive clean, pleasant and benevolent bitterness, lingers only shortly to make place for a long burnt caramel finish. Especially the balance between malty sweetness and bitterness is excellent.

Bottle. Pours a deep reddish amber with a large ƒ or 3 finger) head. aromas are a lovely mix of pine, pineapple and sweet, caramel malt. Flavor is a mix of the above with a somewhat dusty earthiness to it that caught me a little by surprise, but helps give this some distinction from all the other IIPA’s clamoring out there with their heavy hops and thick and sticky maltiness. I’d have to say that this combination works well... The malt and hops work well together and there is much more complexity than I find in most IIPA’s... I don’ tknow if it is coming from the yeast or what, but there is a nice peppery thing going on that helps blend the flavors together. I just wish this wasn’t so darned expensive.
