Perfumed and vineous aroma with a lot of grape, raisin, peach, wood, caramel, sugar cane, butter, dades and plumes. It sort of has the characteristics of both an IIPA and an American Barley Wine. The flavour however does not satisfy me, being onesided bitter, contrasted only by warming alcohol. It lacks the malty depth and complexity of some of the best IIPA’s. hapjydeuce (771), Del Mar, California, USA

Hefty malt aroma that has a lot of biscuit, cherry and caramel character. Big straightforward hop profile with a blast of spicy ginger and apple cinnamon. Long-lasting bitterness on the palate with ample carbonation. Very nice. LooseCannon (928), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

Aroma of floral and citrus hops. Taste of grapefruit and light malt but mostly of hops, hops with grapefruit bitter finish. Very good IIPA. thornecb (1769), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Orange and resin aromas. Crisp with upfront sweet malt and a slight metallic hop burn in the finish. Flat cardboard as it warms. FatPhil (3472), Espoo, Finland

Orangy red. Spiky aromatic nature - almost pungent, like berries trying to tell you they’re poisonous. Taste fairly malty, but hops are too dominant, and to be honest not particularly pleasant. Fruitiness is fairly OK. puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA

The description says this beer is "inspired from the South-West Californian triple IPA’s". Oddly enough, this tastes nothing like a West Coast IPA. Low hop flavor, super malty, and very syrupy. I was thinking this reminded me of an east coast IIPA, if anything. This was ok, not really my thing. Piggy (27), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Brown with a hint of amber golden in the body, thin small off white almost tan head, Musty in smell with some bark wet grass hint in it, with some hops to it, adding a toffee aroma as well, very thick sweet taste in the mouth finishing with a slight bitterness and a caramel toffee palate.
