The head doesn’t last long, but leaves amazing stair-step lacing. Great aroma of fresh-baked bread and caramel, which continues into the flavor. Warm, balanced flavors hide the hops with complex mix of fruits including banana, oak, and malt.
This is a great beer, but doesn’t really feel like an IPA, let alone an imperial! DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 3, 2009 The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts very hoppy and fresh, modest alcoholic, the finish drier and also bitter. Not bad! Thanks to HenrikSoegaard for this bottle! CelticBrew (694), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2009 Another fine brew compliments of Steve-O, shared at the brew shack. The beer poured a nice, clear, deep amber color and a very light ring of a head. I expected it to smell of hops, but they were utterly lacking. Instead, the aroma was of light caramel and nutty maltiness. The flavuor turned out to be pretty much the same. There was basically no hop flavor, but there was a decent, very mild, English-style IPA character. Bitterness was lower than expected. Overall an enjoyable beer, but I was left perplexed in the end. This is my first beer from Nørrebro Bryghus It poured a cloudy light copper color with na lacy head. The aroma was very nice and hoppy. The flavor was predominately malts with undertones of floral hops.
