Commercial Description:
North Bridge Extreme is the brewers gift to Anders on the 1 year aniversary for the opening of Nørrebro Bryghus. It is inspired from the South-West Californian triple IPA's. It is brewed on English ale-malt, adjusted with different colormalt and spiced with enourmous amounts of hops. A dark golden extremely bitter ale with a distinct hop aroma.

Very clear, dark coppery-red colored body, with a big, frothy head. Very filtered. Lightly hopped and highly floral aroma with a pleasant, malty sweetness. The flavor is pretty decent overall, but it kind of lacks the hop-punch that I’ve come to expect from Imperial IPAs. Sweet, but not too much. Nice floral finish lingers with you, as does some of the alcohol burn. Pretty good overall - not 100%ile good, IMHO. I’m surprised.

60cl bottle - my birthday beer, AND my 1600the rating - nice! - I just wish I liked this beer more - clear copper beer with a soapy, short-lived head - aroma of damp, semi-stale hops, bready malts, some caramel - smells like a stronger version of an english bitter - fairly light carbonation - surprisingly light-bodied and quaffable, yet kind of oily at the same time - fairly sweet, with notes of caramel and some doughy/bready flavors - stale but spicy hops swell up from underneath that - some peppery and herbal flavors - light fruity flavors of apricot and cherry - mostly tastes like a strong bitter or british-style ipa - either a lot of people in the states are getting stale bottles, or this beer just isn’t all that great - kind of a waste of 13 bucks - cool bottle, though.

Pours a deep copper hue, head is medium statured with good retention and solid lacing. Nose is malts, bready, toasty with some wispy hop notes of faint citrus, pine and a bit earthy as well. Body is med/full, coating on the palate. Malt flavors up front, caramel, fresh grain, somewhat stale hop flavors, grass, tobacco, pine and just a bit musty. Finish is lightly sweet malts with no real bitterness to speak of. Did i get an old bottle? It taste like a fairly well aged IIPA or a slightly aged BW IMHO. Really a let down. Bummer.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours deep coppery going toward ruby with 2-finger off-white head and solid lacing. Aroma is huge piney hops, tropical fruit, caramel malt, spicy peppery mango notes. Tastes rather sweet initially, with hefty syrupy wet hop flavors, caramel malt, tropical fruit, mango, tangerine, and black pepper. Rich, complex palate with well hidden alcohol. Remarkably quaffable, this is one I will revisit, maybe tonight.

Bottle. Poured orange-amber with a thick off-white head. Floral, piney hop aroma, with some caramel malt in the background to provide a bit of balance. Earthy, citric hop flavor predominates and lingers on the palate. The hops are clearly the focus, but this is actually pretty well balanced. I’m not a hophead, and i enjoyed this.

Bottle sampled, from capones with the Mad_indian. Pours red/amber with a large fluffy cream colored head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, floral and piney hops. The flavor is smooth, caramel, floral, hop citrus, alcohol is masked well. Good brew.

Bottle from Capones, sampled with Stegosaurus. Amber pour with large off white head. Hop , citrus and pine aroma. Sweet malt, and pine/citrus taset. Better as it warmed up and balanced well.

[Bottle] Pours reddish amber with a cream head. Aroma is malt, unusual hops, rubber or something similar to that is also present. A little bitter with a good amount of piney hops, decent amount of malt. Medium mouthfeel. Average finish. This thing was pretty bizarre--and not in a way that I cared for.
