The pour is dark copper and hazy with a decent white head. Aroma is hoppy for sure but has a strong grassy presence, very earthy. The palate is full for this style, thick and syrupy. The taste reveals more of the earthy type flavor and tons of straight forward bitterness. The bitterness lingers throughout the experience. Very interesting, but perhaps a bit too out of balance. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

This is perhaps the most beautiful beer I ever saw, the color is warm copper red and the head is golden and creamy - fantastic! The aroma has notes of loads of hops, resin, grass and did I mention hops? The flavour and the name suit each other - it really is an extremely hopped beer with loads of aroma hops, citrus, grass, resin and not much else. But I do get glimpses of sweetness and some caramel. It’s a really nice DIPA that signals good Nørrebro quality as usual! Thank you René! 1921 jsquire (2107), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 19, 2007 This bottle came in my secret Santa box from Papsoe and is in what appears to be a hand bottled swing top bottled 2-06. Clear deep amber color with a creamy off white head. Huge nose of pineapple upside down cake and toffee. This has a syrupy mouthfeel with a hot tingly hop burn on the tongue. Tons of hop resin, pineapple, honey sweetness and spice. The hops really dominate this beer, in a good way. Very nice DIPA. Many thanks to Papsoe for the beer. voota (761), Melbourne, Australia

Clear copper with a small white head. Strong amarillo aroma, not much else... perhaps a little toffee. The flavour is hop dominated, pine and some spicy hops, underneath is some light stonefruit and caramel. It seemed too unbalanced, but I guess thats the story with IIPAs. The alcohol is very hard to detect until the finish, which was a little spicy and quite nice. Pretty disappointing overall. saxo (3588), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark

Pours out a very attractive mostly clear ruby/copper color with a 1 and a half finger off white head. Palate was perfect for this beer. Floral and pine hop with a nice sweet caramel balance. The hop bitterness lasts throughout and finishes with a very distinct pine hop taste. Very serious beer, much thanks again to Papsoe for this beer that can teach a few American double IPA’s a lesson. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Updated: Mar 19, 2007(Draught) Pours clear deep copper red/amber. Heavy sweet, syrupy, caramelly malt aroma with tons of flowery/floral, piney and fruity hops. Strawberry jam, grapefruit, pineapple and mango undertones. Deep piny, resiny, and flowery flavour with a nice sugary and alcoholy sting. Good body. Powerful, acetone-ish, parfumy bitterness and equally powerful malt sweetness, just as Marsiblursi likes it.
