My very first Imperial IPA and what a beerstyle?! I was chocked and could not swallow the first samples, but after some minutes it succeeded. I remember it as fruity, spicy and hoppy in the way you first time try ex. a gorgonzola cheese. Everything around you spin. In spite of these circumstances I was not in doubt of that this could be THE style .....and now it is. Unfortunately I’ve only sampled this beer once, so it must be the goal for 2007...going to Nørrebro ...on a hopcruise! JohnC (2254), Mission Viejo, California, USA

It poured a beautiful reddish golden color with a one finger off white head. On the palate, it starts off creamy and finishes very dry. The flavors and aroma are citric hoppy, with a nice malt backbone in the taste. Very nice brew. anders37 (4636), Malmö, Sweden

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear ruby body with a small lasting lacing. Mango, berries and spice nose. Citric first taste with hops kicking in just afterwards. Long lasting bitter finish with some coffee reminiscences. Smooth palate with a small carbonation, but the aftertaste overwhelms you after a few drops. An excellent beer but not an excepcional one. yespr (12105), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Blind tasting of an almost one year old handbottle from tap, same batch as reviewed above, thanks to Papsoe. Pours golden copper, clear, with a lacing head. Heavy hoppy aroma, with a little caramel note. Flavour is heavy hoppy and with nice malt base. Clean hoppy flavour. Decent bitterness, interesting aging. 8-4-8-4-16

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 25, 2006 Bottle with a big thanks to Papsoe: A deep red orange color with a small white head. Aroma, floral and fruity notes from the hops, some caramel and toffee. Flavor, citrus, some floral qualities, and spice. It was a little more malt foward than I expected, but that’s probably due to the 8 months since it was bottled. Still bitter, but not overwhelmingly so. It was very drinkable. Quite good.
