Commercial Description:
North Bridge Extreme is the brewers gift to Anders on the 1 year aniversary for the opening of Nørrebro Bryghus. It is inspired from the South-West Californian triple IPA's. It is brewed on English ale-malt, adjusted with different colormalt and spiced with enourmous amounts of hops. A dark golden extremely bitter ale with a distinct hop aroma.

Freshest green apple rin aroma from 1 foot away. big juicy citrus hop explosion up close. Viscous IPA as barleywine appearance. opaque hazy-heavy amber with b-wine bubbles. Extremely pleasant well balanced beer, lots of fruit as from aroma, vitalizing delicate mandarin orange. fairly dry palae, long fruity finish. falvorful, not over bitter. flat, by design or accident I cannot know.

Handbottle from Feb 2006, via Chuck, via Secret Santa. Clear copper; dark scotch body. Thin off white head that is barely there. Very attractive. Fruity cereal aroma… Trix. Dry hop, loose alfalfa malt. Very green. Sweet natural oils. Glue. Seaweed. Wet dog. Herbal hop flavor, caramelly malt (if caramel could be made from soy products for vegans, it would taste like this). Lots of sweetness; some wet dog. Has very hoppy edges that show up great in the finish, but are not overwhelming otherwise. Overall: Pretty good stuff, and very different.

Bottle ƒ/2006) shared by Chuck. Clear amber body with low carbonation. Sweet floral aroma - tulip, light berry, and cracker malt. Trix cereal was thrown out, it’s pretty close. Big bitter flavor. Spicy, leafy, stemmy resinous hops over a strong toasty carmel backing. Pine sap in the finish. Nice round sweet mouthfeel that’s nicely contrasted by the resiny hops. This is a damn find IIPA, just a tad overrated.

Feb. 2006 vintage bottle shared by Chuck. Opened with a pop. The beer pours to a golden brassy body with a nice white head. Nice visible carbonation. The aroma is lemon, sugary and fruity Trix cereal, almonds, and peaches. Quite unique and definitely worthy. The flavor is pretty dominated by some raw malt, the hops are less apparent than I like. More oily and resiny than bright and citrusy. The palate is a touch watery. Bitter and resiny.

Thanks to Santa (Papsoe) bottled Feb 06 Huge hopy malty aroma... yeah not descriptive yet but damn good. Smells of light grahm crackers lots of carmels and a good amount of grapefruit, grass, alcohol and a light spice. Copper orangish color w/ slow rising visable carbonation and a small thick tan well laced head. Pal is full oily well coated and creamy. Flavor reminds me a touch of trix cerial.. very fruity w/ that grahmy taste quite bitter w/ a great dry finish ltos of full fruits plums, figs, apricots.. defiante alcohol notes lots of pine and some light passion fruit... mmmm I WANT MORE... this is damn good.

courtesy of Papsoe; unlabelled bottle; bottled in Feb. 2006 - hazy reddish in colour, little unstable foam with big bubbles; generous hoppiness showing notes of biscuit, portwine, almonds and candi sugar; solid malty, oily body; massive bitterness and a very dry, bitter hoppy finish with notes of pine needles and peach - an extreme yet somehow balanced hop bomb; what a beer !!

Amber with a white head. Alcohol, port, lemon and tobacco in the aroma. Light sweetness, lots of hops, and a good dose of caramel, bready and roast malt in the flavour. Begins very sharp, then rounded out and finishes with long lasting bitterness.

Clear dark golden body with a very small head; I actually find the nose more malty then clear hoppy and it lacks a great deal of depth; Quite full body with very nice carbonation; Into a bit sweet quite bitter finish. This beer is really lacking a lot to be worth the rating it has. I tasted this beer at Københavnske Øldage and was later told that the batch brought to the festival wasn’t as good as usual, WELL, THEN DONT BRING IT?????
