Draught. Copper-brown with a soapy whitish head. Tons of resiny grapefruit - floral and full, also some crystal malts. Super bitter, chewy resinous grapefruit and oranges among some pineyness in the finish. The alcohol is well hidden under the HUGE hops and caramel malts. There is a very much needed sweetness that does indeed provide balance to a certain extent. Quite good and something that I would like to have on hand :D Sampled at the brewpub in Copenhagen on May 18, 2006.

Draught @ KBF 2006. Clear dark amber colored beer with a fine off-white head. Perfect lacing. Bitter hoppy and sweet caramelly aroma. This is a complex beer and extremely well-balanced. Creamy and fruity tones. Flavour is dominated by bitter hops. Notes of malt, nut, spices and flowers. Ultra dry and refreshing. A magnificant brew.

Draught at Nørrebro Brygghus. 190506. Dark brown colour, with a creamy foam. Aroma. is a bomb of cacade hops and mmaltynes. Long long bitter finish, full body. Whow what a fantastic Double IPA!

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Colour is dark amber, almost mahogany, with little head. Nose is ... oh dear! ... heavily hopped, hints of marzipan, dried fruit and cherries, slightly sweetish. But mainly a hop explosion! Taste is amazing! A powerful (almost brutal) and masterfully balanced and beautiful hop bomb, with hints of chocolate, nuts, caramel and grapefruit. Slightly sweet, but not as sweet as you might fear. Deceptively smooth. A massive and beautifully balanced IPA, in short: a true masterpiece! Please, could I have another?

tap. golden amber. hoppy fruity and very spicy. lots of different tastes in this beer. strong pallete. very dry.

On tap at Nørrebro Bryghus. Handsome and clear dark golden coloured with a small white head. Very nice dryness. Very hoppy with notes caramel, malts and spices. Slight butterry aroma. Very good.

Bottle, pours with a amber body and a nice 2 fingers off-white head. Good lacing. Elsewere just as good as my first rating. 5/8/2006: Got it as a birthsdays precent in a 2 L bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a tiny, off-white head. Unfortunately a lot of the carbonation was lost during the transport, I’ll rerate when I get the time to wisit Copenhagen and try it draught. Sweet nose, lots of floral hops, apricots and grapefruit. Sweet flavor, with caramel, piney/grapefruity hops, solid bitter finish.

One of the best beers I had on a recent trip to Copenhagen (April 2006). Sweet floral hop bose, gold color, sticky foamy head. Light malt front with honey notes, then a big broad hop bitter across the entire mouth. Grassy at times. Medium body. You can lick the hops off your teeth after each swallow. Aggressive for sure, but simply well done and balanced.
