4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Palme (2311) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 22, 2012
On tap @ Ølfestival København 2012. I just found this ones brother, the Bordeaux Barrel one, just about as good as a beer can get, so I have some high hopes for this one as well. It pours a pitch black oily and thick body with a small and sidesticking almost bubbly chocolate head. On the aroma this one is really really dark and black. Heavy roasted with licorice, leather, some salty chocolate tones. Really nice! It has a thick and chewy texture with a soft carbonation level. The flavor does not disappoint in this one. It’s just so faaantastic roasted with wood, burned wood, salty licorice and leather before it ends light dark-fruity. Amazing indeed, and all I can think about now is to go back to the stand and get a new glass of this! 10.05.2012
