Commercial Description:
An authentic Porter at 6% ABV. The name refers to this being the second Nordic guest brew, that is developed together with Lasse Ericsson from Nynäshamn Ångbryggeri, south of Stockholm. The beer is top fermented and added honey before the fermentation, which results in a soft and creamy coffee black porter with a soft aroma of chocolate, coffee, and nuts. The flavor is dry, light, and elegant with notes of liquorice and dried fruits. The bitterness is low and the harmonious aftertaste is dominated by liquorice.

The pour was dark brown with a solid tan head which gave way quickly. The aroma had roasted malt, huge amounts of chocolate and faint honey. A touch astringent and balanced towards maltiness.

A rich mahogany brown in the glass with a little deep tan head and mild lacing. Aromas of plums, prunes, caramel, black licorice and coffee. Surprisingly light on the tongue and bright for its comparative low alcohol. Slightly papery in the center and sweet on the palate. Chickory and licorice dominate. All in all, a solid, light porter, but my expectations were much higher for this bottle.

Bottle, via trade tagged best by 6 19 2008 guess I got in just in time... :) . Pours black with a puffy 2 finger light brown head. Nose is lightly sweet and malty, with some chocolate and some coffee. Pretty good porter, not amazing.

250ml on tap cunsumed in very nice weather in the patio of the brewpub. The body colour is black as pitch with virtually no head. Rich roasted smell of coarse grain. Bittersweet flavour of dried fruits, berries and coffee. Moderate creamy mouthfeel (Copenhagen, 31.05.2008).

Bottle from WLV. Pour is mostly opaque dark mahogany with offwhite head. Nose is hoppy and musty, notes of fruits and slight roast. A bit fizzy on the tongue, light vinous notes. Typical porter tastes of roast and bitter, some coffee. Some alcohol character in there as well, likely from the honey that is added. Thin body, not awful, not great. Pretty run of the mill.

600 ml bottle. Completely opaque black color, big tan head. Aroma of coffee grounds and chocolate. The chocolate continues on to the flavor, with some residual malt flavor. A surprisingly light body. I’d have to try this again with ice cream.
