Aromas of plums, prunes, caramel, black licorice and coffee. Surprisingly light on the tongue and bright for its comparative low alcohol. Slightly papery in the center and sweet on the palate. Pours black with a puffy 2 finger light brown head. Nose is lightly sweet and malty, with some chocolate and some coffee. Pretty good porter, not amazing. Nez de malt très rôti, de café, moyen de houblon herbeux, léger de chocolat noir avec des notes de fruits (mûres, cassis) et de chocolat au lait (petites notes lactiques). Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-fort et une texture plutôt crémeuse et aux petites notes huileuses. Notes fruitées (mûres, faibles traces de cassis) accompagné de petites notes de chocolat au lait, de crème (notes lactiques) et de réglisse noire lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût moyennement amer de malt assez rôti (notes brûlées) aux notes terreuses, léger-moyen de chocolat noir et avec des notes de pain grillé, de caramel et de miel sucré puis progressivement un moyen goût de café vient s’installer jusqu’en finale, où l’on retrouve également une moyenne amertume de houblon herbeux ainsi que des notes de bois fumé et de noix rôties asséchantes. Post-goût long et légèrement sec, moyen-amer de rôti-brûlé, de café, de houblon herbeux, léger de chocolat noir et avec des notes de noix et de fumée de bois. Rune (2863), Tromsø, Norway

Aroma of coffee grounds and chocolate. The chocolate continues on to the flavor, with some residual malt flavor. A surprisingly light body. I’d have to try this again with ice cream.
