An authentic Porter at 6% ABV. The name refers to this being the second Nordic guest brew, that is developed together with Lasse Ericsson from Nynäshamn Ångbryggeri, south of Stockholm. The beer is top fermented and added honey before the fermentation, which results in a soft and creamy coffee black porter with a soft aroma of chocolate, coffee, and nuts. The flavor is dry, light, and elegant with notes of liquorice and dried fruits. The bitterness is low and the harmonious aftertaste is dominated by liquorice.

Very smooth dry porter with subtle complexity of chocolate, malts, nuts and coffee. A tad on the expensive side for what you’re getting, but worth drinking if you get a chance.

Sampled on 1/8/2010. This porter pours a dark brown color from a 600ml bottle. Small to medium sized tan head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee and honey. A medium bodied porter. The malts are chocolate and coffee. The hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. The touch of honey sweetness contrasts nicely with the roasty malts. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours opaque black with generous head at first that disappears after several minutes of viewing. Nose has a roasty marshmallow quality, roasty but nougat-sweet. Dry chocolate cake. Palate has a coffee chocolate roastiness with some thick sweetness, and thick body as well. Very chewy and handsome. Finish is medium to long with a carbonation tingle and dry roastiness on the palate. Worth seeking out.

Very dark brown color with faint, tan head; aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice; mouthfeel is smooth and lowly carbonated; flavor adapting the nose, heavily dominated by liquorice and roasted malts; some hops appearing in the finish prevents the flavor going too sweet.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2010 One of the best beers I’ve ever had. Gorgeous dark and complex appearance with a tan head. Fantastic aroma with notes of coffee and chocolate. Nutty chocolatey flavour. Texture was rich and creamy. If you like porters, you’ll love this one.
