COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pinot Noir-fadlagret.

English: Stevns CCC Vintage 2009 is a sour mash beer, fermented with concentrated Stevns cherries and aged with Brettanomyces in a solera system, using primarily Pinot Noir barrels, started in 2007 with the original Stevns CCC brew made with Will Meyers from the Cambridge Brewing Co. This vintage of the beer was blended from three different barrels and has an aroma dominated by cherries, smooth brett, dark malts and oak. The very dry and crisp flavour has distinct acidity with fruity and winey notes. The aftertaste is long and complex, with all the flavour elements interchanging, ending on a discreet marzipan and bitter almond note.

Bottle at home, acquired via trade. It pours cloudy red-brown with a medium beige head. The nose is oak, vanilla, coconut, tang, light vinegar and berry. The taste is full of tart berry...cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, as well as jam, vinous notes, sherbet, earth, wet leaf and wood with a dry, tart finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and well-hidden alcohol. Really delicious stuff! Yum.

Bottle shared quickly at Mikkeller Bar - Copenhagen. Pours amber-red with a moderate, foamy head. Nice tabgy, aged dry berries, some wet wood. Light to medium sweet flavor, some further wood, dry raspberries, mellow funk. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Tangy, leathery berry finish, wood, light vinous quality. Great beer.

(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, slightly acetic nose with sour cherries, red fruit, wild yeast, grapes and a touch of oak wood. Fruity, tart taste with notes of red fruit, sour cherries, caramel, wild yeast, a touch of wood and a dry, sour finish wit a hint of bitter almond. Slightly more than medium body, quite dry. Very nice sour ale with a gentle cherry touch.

Cloudy red - brown beer. No real head. Sour cherry on the nose. Crisp dry palate. Tart and sharp cherry and lemon. Finishes crisp and dry. Just a fraction too much tart sourness.

From tap @ Ølfestival København 2012. A murky brown beer with a small and quickly sidesticking off-white. Not by far as vinegar-ish and tart as the Merlot. I get wood, red currants, black currants and actually some chocolate! Quite great. Vinious and woody flavors, a bit sharp and acidic also. Lingering flavors. A great one and quite different. 10.05.2012

Pours cloudy/murky deep brown/amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of tart, vinegar, vinious and red berries. Taste is light sweet and medium to heavy sour with a long berry sour, dry finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is flat.

330mL at Norrebro. Full haze deep red with yeast chunkies. Brighter pour is deep jewel ruby. Medium beige foam subsides to a thin ring of bubbles. Richer dark cherry dessert nose with some hot acetic head and impending vinegar. Taste is not too acetic up front more mild moving to some sharp as hell acetic and bitter bile type of acid. Makes you flush instantly and have chills. Lots of off character unpleasant acids feeling like bile and vomit. Oh my. As it warns and I have more, the harsh acid subsides and it is more just chalky and woody with sharp red wine tannin. Milder acetic spice. Not so bad I guess. Well, then I tried it with a cheese pairing. And it tastes like vomit again.

Bottle at the source. Hazy maroon color, small beige head. Aroma of slightly sour and peppery cherries. Taste is tart lemon and cerry, slightly medicinal. OK.

Aroma is rather strong and sour with red wine, some vinegar and earthy notes. Flavour is rather tart, sour and very dry with red wine, some vinegar, oaky and earthy notes. Very intensive, but these red wine beers are just not my cup of tea.
