COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pinot Noir-fadlagret.

English: Stevns CCC Vintage 2009 is a sour mash beer, fermented with concentrated Stevns cherries and aged with Brettanomyces in a solera system, using primarily Pinot Noir barrels, started in 2007 with the original Stevns CCC brew made with Will Meyers from the Cambridge Brewing Co. This vintage of the beer was blended from three different barrels and has an aroma dominated by cherries, smooth brett, dark malts and oak. The very dry and crisp flavour has distinct acidity with fruity and winey notes. The aftertaste is long and complex, with all the flavour elements interchanging, ending on a discreet marzipan and bitter almond note.

This beer taste like a cherry Jolly Rancher. It reminds me of middle school, when I used to sneak these candies during class.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2011 [Original version] Bottled. A murky red beer with a reddish head. The aroma has strong notes of lacto acid as well as medium notes of cherries, wood, over ripe fruits, and brettanomyces. The flavor is acidic though with an underlying sweetness and notes of wood, lacto acid, cherries, and over ripe fruits, leading to a tart and woody finish.

[Merlot barrel release at Københavnske Øldage 2011] Draft. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of wood, wine grapes, malt, caramel, and cherries. The flavor is sweet and sour with notes of cherries, wood, fruits, brettanomyces, wine grapes, and caramel, leading to a dry finish. [8/3/8/3/16=3.9]

At CBF2010. Ohh yes, I love this stuff! Pours a hazy mahogany colour with a tan head. Aroma is nice and sour, with notes of cherries, prunes, raisins, cocos and caramel. Nice cherry, caramel and oak flavoured with a dry tart hint. Splendid!

Appearance: 3/5 Dark hazy red liquid with a small dirty white head. No lacing. Smell: 7/10 Sour, red berries and wood. Taste: 7/10 Red berries, cherries, wood and sour. Mouthfeel: 3/5 Medium thick body, medium smooth. Comment: More sourness in this one. Plenty of red berries. Could use some more sourness but this one was better then Triple De Lente. A complex beer with plenty of flavour. The kind of beer you sit back and sip at. Works well on it’s own but I think it would be a good companion with a couple of cheeses. So good beer or bad beer? I like it, but considering the price it isn’t really worth a purchase unless you absolutely have to try everything.

Poured from a bottle. Opaque, darker coloured body with a reddish shade. Dense, thin white head. Cherries to the nose. Tart, almost sour, berries dominating the taste profile. Ends dry. Refreshing, but not really my kind of beer, yet (CBF, 07.05.2010).

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2011 Bottle @ CBF, 2010.
Pours a very lovely, deep red with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Aroma has lovely cherries, sweetness, fruity, tart, red apple, marzipan. Highish carbonation, great dry mouthfeel. Flavour is light tart, lots of cherries, dry, oaky, some vanilla. Long, lingering finish. Elegantly tart, light fruity. Amazing beer, yet not as good as the 2007.

(Bottle) Pours muddy brown with red hints. Almost no head. The aroma holds cherries and horse blanket-like brett up front. A light overtone of strawberries and marzipan. Some vanilla oak. Very spicy and woody as well. Hints of grapes, cinnamon, leather, vinegar and mouldy basement. The flavour is light sweet/dry and medium to heavily acidic with almost no bitterness. Cherries, brett and wood. Light vinous and vinegar-ish. Spicy hints. The mouthfeel is tart with light to no carbonation. Acidic finish. Medium bodied. Nice.

Pours a dark brown with a reddish tint. Thin tan head that fades to lace quickly. Aroma of sweet fruit, cola, hint of roast. Taste of sour cherries and a bit of caramel. Bubbly mouth feel. Finish is like a fruity wine. Nice brew.
