COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: En kompleks kirsebærale. Øllet har en smukt rød kulør og er lagret i to år på franske egefade med vildgæren brettanomyces, hvilket bidrager til en syrlig og vinøs base. Den tørre smag er præget af eg, vanille, marcipan og kirsebær. En særdeles udfordrende og delikat oplevelse med stor fylde, syrlighed og lang, vinøs eftersmag. Pinot Noir-fadlagret.

English: Stevns CCC Vintage 2009 is a sour mash beer, fermented with concentrated Stevns cherries and aged with Brettanomyces in a solera system, using primarily Pinot Noir barrels, started in 2007 with the original Stevns CCC brew made with Will Meyers from the Cambridge Brewing Co. This vintage of the beer was blended from three different barrels and has an aroma dominated by cherries, smooth brett, dark malts and oak. The very dry and crisp flavour has distinct acidity with fruity and winey notes. The aftertaste is long and complex, with all the flavour elements interchanging, ending on a discreet marzipan and bitter almond note.

33cl bottle. Bottled January 2010, best before January 2015. Very light aroma. Just a small hint of cherry pie. Some acetone. A touch of wet oak, and, well... That’s about it. Mid- bottle pour yields a murky brown/red beer with a thin off-white ring around the edge of the glass. Plenty more cherry on the tongue than the nose. Cherry concentrate, drying brett, light oak tannin. Medium (-) body. Light carbonation with a dry, slightly tannic and watery finish. Simple, without many flaws, wholly drinkable but entirely forgettable. Thanks Mikkel!

[Bottle] shared by Tyler. Thanks! Pours hazy reddish with a small dissipating khaki head. Aroma is cherry pie filling, light breadiness, light brett character. Flavor is quite sharp, a bit of funky cheese, fairly sharp, cherry pie filling. Overall not too bad, but not great either.

Pours hazy reddish brown with white head, aroma has notes of big cherries, touch of cherry, sweet bread, some notes of brett and lemon. Taste is sweet cherry pie filling, notes of vanilla, some tart notes, finishing sweet with notes of barnyard and funk. Good.

Bottle shared by Tyler(Thanks!) Slightly cherrywood brown pour, a little ring of carbonation and an aroma of light sour cherries. Flavor is an interesting blend of cherry pie filling from when I was in boy scouts, a little dry wood, alcohol and slightly malty on the finish. Enjoyable, but it was hard to get past the cherry pie filling flavor.

Bottle shared by Tyler! Thanks a ton! Hazy light purple color, brown highlights. Very little head or lacing. Aroma is a big slug of jammy cherries, slight funk and phenolic, but really dominated by the cherries. Taste is the same. Just huge cherry pie filling and not a whole lot else. Not bad, but could really use some complexity.

This is a special release beer had at the brewery in Copenhagen. Beer pours a maroon/prune color with a light tan head, lighly opaque...The aroma is super nice, tons of fresh cherries, a little candy cherry with a slight funk finish. Taste is basically the same, sweet and tart, just totally awesome. There is not ton of funk but its a very good tart cherry ale. Give it a shot, if you can find it.

enjoyed the weekend of RBWG 2011thanks to Blomster for the bottle, pours dark dense reddish purple with a thin head. Aroma is comlex and wonderful. Tart cherry, strawberry, sour moldy wood, light funk. Flavor is semi-sweet cherry, sweet strawberry, tart lemon rind, horseblanket. Really good stuff.

33cL bottle, courtesy of blomster. Thanks, Christer! Pours a slightly hazy, almost pulpy, ruby-red color; thin, mixed-bubbled light-tan head with light retention and lacing. There’s a bit of a metallic / rusty note at the periphery of the aroma, but it comes in waves for me; otherwise: a mouthwatering, tart cherry focus that’s hugely forward and vinous, with light oak, fruit leather, and pinot notes; reminiscent (aside from the rust) of Oerbier Special Reserva with a couple of years behind it. Medium-full body; light carbonation. Medium-high acidity and a modest tartness hit the tongue first, followed by tart cherries, very round and lush red fruits (from both the cherries and the Pinot), bright oak, and modest tannins; the metallic / rust note appears just slightly and seems to gradually dissipate (or I’m used to it after a few sips); still never entirely fades for me; overall, a delicious and intricate sour concoction that really only suffers from that iron quality, which points to a potential water issue. Lasting finish brings out some nice vanilla oak qualities and a lingering cherry tartness.

Hazy brown pour. Oak, nuts, tartness, balsamic vinegar aroma. Flavor is creamy, tart, sour, red wine vinegar, oak, toasted nuts, bread. Fun beer.
