[10/4/11] Draught at the brewpub in Copenhagen. Clear amber color. Aroma has a bit of malt and some rather piney, slightly resinous hops. Flavor has some sweetness with some graininess and a mildly bitter finish with a bit of slightly stale hops. Light-medium-bodied. Black with a light brown head. Roasty aroma with some coffee. Sweetish roasty flavor with some coffee and a slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied. Decent.

Pours a pitch black colour with a minimal white head. Aroma of roasted malts, cacao and roasted coffee. Flavour of roasted malts, coffee, dark berries and chocolate. Full bodied, quite high carbonation and a dry finish of roasted malts and coffee. Very tasty.

On tap. Black and opaque with a creamy light brown head leaving a neat lacework. Sweet roastiness in the nose with dusty (British?) hops. Decent body, sweet roasted malts, vanilla and licorice, carbonation is a little low. Notes of sweet, dark dried fruits. Pleasant and very drinkable. 220911

De barril en la cervecería. Pitch black, nice medium sized light brown head, good lacing. Pleasant aroma indeed of roasted malt and some smoke along with chocolate and coffee. Good filling mouthfeel. Flavour has a very pleasant roasted maltiness with a good smoky touch along with some chocolate and coffee and a good well lasting bitterness. Yum indeed!

Completely black with a firm, stayin, creamy, beige-brown head. Good lacing. Aroma is heavy dark chocolate, coffee, light ashy, some hazelnuts. Medium carbonation, super-dry and light creamy palate. Flavour is heavy coffee, dark chocolate, some nuts. Some mild dark berries. Lingering, delicious velvety dry chocolate. Nice beer!

Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dark roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark dark roasted, dark chocolate, coffee, dark malt, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Roasted aroma of dark chocolate and caramel with notes of coffee and roasted bread.
Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel and dark chocolate with notes of hops and coffee.
Roasted and hoppy finish.

Draught. Low and quickly disappearing light brown head. Pitch black body. Powrful coffee choccolate liquorice aroma and nicely roasted malt. Coffee choccola liquorice roasted malt flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long aftertaste. Sweeter finish than expected. Alcohol level seeems just right.
