COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Based on a very classically brewed Belgian style tripel with just the one twist that it was fermented with a saison yeast blend. After primary and secondary fermentation on tank for 3 months, the beer was racked into French Sauternes oak barrels and inoculated with brettanomyces and lactobaccillus. After 8 months in the barrel, the beer shows a very charming combination of spicy aromas, earthy notes and the complex tartness added by the wild yeast and bacteria. The body is dry with intense spicy and fruity flavours with clear hints of vanilla and oak.
Ingredients: Barley malt, wheat malt and hops.

33 cl bottle. Bottled 01/2010. BBE 01/2020.
A bit more vinous aroma with rose hip and even some rowan berries. Flavor has stayed pretty much the same, maybe a tad smoother palate. Very nice refined brew still, holds its strengths nicely.

Pours hazy amber colour with minimal head. Aroma of earth, barnyard notes, mild berries, sour fruits, yeast and spices. Flavour of ripe fruits, citrus, rose hip, oak, gooseberry, yeast and grapes.

Rather strong aroma is sour and tart, feels like brettanomyces stuff. Flavour is oaky, tart and sour with earthy notes, grapefruit and hints of spices. Also some fruits. White wine on acids.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a small white head on the edges. Aroma of sweet honey, brettanomyces and banana. Flavour of caramel malts, sweet honey, brett, banana and loads of vanilla and oak. Full bodied, warming and quite thick mouthfeel with a finish of fruits, something sour and oak. Well balanced and quite complex.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - bottled in January 2010, from Systembolaget, 20111202) The beer poured deep golden and a little bit hazy. Its head was almost non-existent. Aroma had wood, sourness, honey and vineousness. Palate was medium bodied, warming and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were honey, wood, tartness, vanilla, vineousness, malts and low bitterness. Aftertaste was vineous and woody. A different tripel indeed but not a bad one. Wine characteristics, saison-style sourness and the sweetness from tripel matched quite well.

bottle... dark gold with a bit of orange, light white head... smells pretty nice, oak, yeast, lacto, sweet wine, and bit of pine... the taste is a bit bland, light sour, more of a saison musky sour, oak... ok, nothing wrong with it but I just can’t crush it
