3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
An almost opaque deep red beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is very sweet and very spicy with notes of vanilla, violets, and coffee standing out. The flavor is extremely sweet with a somewhat weird combination with the vanilla, but also with notes of coffee and cocoa, lending the end a bit of roastyness. It is too sweet for my liking and I’d also like a roasted character earlier.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: APR 11, 2009 (On tap) Clear, dark brown - very dark making it almost opaque with a vague orangey tint. No head. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with extreme vanilla notes first and an unpleasant, raw bitterness following immediately after. Underneath everything lies the hard roasted malt. Awkward and absolutely hopeless creation. A clear miss from Nørrebro this time. 210506

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewpub.
Black coloured with a beige head.
Sweet aroma of caramel and vanilla with notes of spices.
Sweet flavour of caramel, vanilla and spices with light roasted notes.
Light roasted finish.
Could be a good vanilla sauce, but too sweet to be a good stout.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
[Draught at Købehavnske Øldage] Dark brown. Strong aroma of vanilla and coffee. Sweet and medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Roasty malt competes with custard for domination, and the result is somewhat chaotic. Medium bitterness.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Københavnske Øldage 07. Draught. It’s black/brown with a reddish hue and a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee and a slightly perfumed vanilla sweetness. The flavour is smooth and nice with notes of roasted malt, a slightly perfumed vanilla sweetness and notes of coffee. In one way quite interessting, but at the same time a bit weird. 2219

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ KØ 2006: Black/brown coloured. Dense light brown head. Loads of sweetness and vanilla in this beer. Totally dominating the aroma. Flavour as well is very vanilladense. Some roast, coffee and perfume. Is medium bodied. Has a medium bitterness in the end, which is chalenged by some vanillasweetness. Fun beer.
