3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, bottled June, 2009, rated January 30, 2016. Brown with beige head. Aroma of tart berries, malt, toffee. Flavour is a little sweet with malty noteS, a lot of dry wood and a fruity bitterness reminding me a bit of Campari - which I like. Nice beer.

sample @ home, thanks veliempojot!
Aroma is sweet and sour with oaky tones and some lactic acid. Flavour is somewhat acidic with raw apples, woody tones, red wine and sourness. Actually this is very red wine -like. I’m not a big friend of sour browns but this was good.

Bottle via trade. It pours cloudy deep amber with a small, bubbly beige head. The nose is mild sourness, berry, earth, vanilla, coconut and a touch of vinegar. The taste is initially tart, lemon, Granny Smith, apple, berry, light spice, sherbet, some underlying sweetness and faint vinegar with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smooth, well-balanced and very drinkable. Has aged gracefully.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Bruce’s. Massive thanks to Paul for scoring this Scandinavian ghost! The pour’s a soupy reddish color with no head. I got the dregs of the bottle. Earlier pour’s were much clearer. The nose is red berry, grape. A bit of ketchup, balsamic vinegar. Lightly salty acidic aromas. The taste is more of the same. Soft balsamic vinegar, mild funk. Plenty of rustic umami flavors. Plenty of mineral, slightly metallic. Slightly coarse body, somewhat soupy (again, I was drinking the dregs). Overall, pretty tasty.

Bottle at Bruce’s, London - big thanks to Paul. Pours hazy, red-brown with a moderate, white cream head. Ripe tangy berries in the nose, some darkened sugars. Light to medium sweet flavor, some tangy, semi-dark malts, ripe berries, bit of wet wood. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Further tangy berries in the nose, moderate sweetness, more wet wood. Pretty nice. Not overly tangy. Nice balance.

37,5 cl. bottle. Bottled June 2009, rated 4.12.2012.
Clear copper w/ decent, tan head.
Intensely sour, bretty, and dry. A bit on the aggressive, harsh side, but quite enjoyable nonetheless.
