2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Has a real good aroma, fruity acidic, malty, bread, faint almond notes too. Flavor starts good, sweet, but then it gets unpleasent, to much contrast to the sweetness, heavy acidic, moderate bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It’s hazy, almost unclear red mahogany and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma is fruity and sour with notes of berries, wood, caramel, brett and citrus peel. The flavour is fruity and sourish with a light sweetness and notes of brett, lots of citrus peel, caramel, it’s vinous, and the finish is slightly dry and refreshingly fruity. It’s a really nice sour.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasting with Shaun Hill at Three Penny Taproom - Poured a darkish amber in color with a small off-white head that hung around to produce a small amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma was roasted malty with fruits (grape, raisin), a hint of red wine and and medium tartness. Flavor is of roasted malts, red wine, sour fruit and berries. Medium sour. Clean, crisp finish. Really good...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, brought by Jeppe. Brown color. Soft caramelly aroma with sherry notes and a hint of milk chocolate. Oaky flavor with sherry and caramel. Notes of citrus and leather. The aroma is OK. The beer is quite complex, but the flavors do not coincide well. Nevertheless a fine and interesting beer.

375 ml bottle, kindly shared by my beer pal Olav, who bought it at Nørrebro Bryghus. "Limited Release No. 2", ABV 6.5%. Hazy brown colour, big to moderate beige head. The aroma has some sourish fruity notes, hints of red wine vinegar, some malts too. Fairly sour flavour, some funky and malty notes.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A murky brown beer, very hazy and lots of sediments. A small off-white head that leaves some lacings. Definitely not a pretty sight.
The nose is dominated by funky brett and aromas of oak barrels. Hints of tart fruits and vanilla and caramel malts.
The taste is mildly sweet with a nice tart complement. Again, funky brett and oak barrels dominate the aromas. Notes of malts, caramel and tart cherries and red currants. The finish is mildly bitter and dry with some tart fruit notes and brett.
Moderate body, slightly oily texture.
This is quite far from the Belgian originals of the style and I think it drinks more like an American sour ale than a Belgian Oude bruin. Not a letdown, but still not as good as I had hoped for.
