Murky brown color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of banana, clove, nuts, bread. Taste of banana, clove, caramel, citrus, tart whet, and a dry finish.

Draft. Hazy brown with little head. Yeasty slightly malty nose. Taste is rather mild yeastiness, some banana, a bit toasty, and a hint of alcohol. Thinnish body. Mediocre.

Shaker at the joint- served a fascinating murky and turbid brown color, finger white head. Aroma of cloves, banana, and a hint of yeast. Hits the mouth with an even medium body, malt tastes slightly roasted, heavy dose of banana right behind it, clove in the middle, finish is cloying and very filling. Why did I wait so long to have this- yummy said the tummy!

tap at nxnw. This was an interesting dunkel. To sum it up, I found it to be big in flavor and body, not weak and watery like some versions, which was good, although all the flavors were not as in sync as they could have been to make it a really good dunkel. Poured murkey brown with small head, nose very big on banana and clove and other tropical fruit. Flavor very big on banana, with a burnt malt aspect, full bodied. Pretty nice, but something wasn’t clicking, so I’m not sure I’ll revisit this one. Stick to the blackjack.

On tap at the brewpub. The beer pours a hazy tan color with a white head. Not a real good looking beer. The aroma is heavy on the banana with not too much else going on. The flavor has more going on. I get some banana and clove notes as well as some caramel and lightly roasted malts. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Cloudy amber, small, white head. Grainy aroma. Banana bread flavor. Ok if you just want to taste a beer. Spritzy and sweet finish. Slightly gummy.

On tap at the pub. Pours a murky tan to gold color. Very little head. Smell is sweet floral notes with some soapy notes as well. Taste is lightly nutty with a bittersweet finish. Some immediate sweetness sticks around but is cut off by bitter milkweed.
