bgburdman9 (708), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 24, 2008 An old rating i finally got to entering. Tart aroma of funk and cherries with some yeastiness to it. Flavor was tart and really bubbly on the tongue. Nice beer. pint_size (1001), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 11, 2008 3-7-08 tap
Thick red cloudy amber with a thin white head. Good solid flemish, sour aroma. Flavor is nice and citrisy and not too heavy or fruity. I feared too much cherry flavor and I was not let down - it doesn’t overpower it at all. After the second glass - your tongue starts to regret the acidic brew though. So beware! fly (1234), austin, Tejas, USA Mar 10, 2008 Very nice to find a lambic (or lambic wannabee) at a local. Nicely done, acidic and sour with enough sweetness to help balance it all out and cherries somewhat subdued. All in alll, an excellent offort. Would only be better if available in bottles. lb4lb (1281), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 8, 2008 Updated: Jul 26, 2008Pours a hazy maroon-ish, dark cranberry color with no head. Smell is tart cherry, sweetness, and a bit of vinegary sourness. Taste is quite sour with a hint of funkiness perhaps and a noticeable sweetness, but nice. Some grainy flavors along with the sweet and sour cherry and light carbonation. Pretty tasty and fairly drinkable for the style. MrRomero (1874), Wiesbaden-Biebrich, Germany Mar 7, 2008 Small snifter at the brewpub: poured pinkish red with no head. Nice aroma of cherries and lacquer. Mild sweetness on the tongue at the start with that quickly subsiding and turning to tart cherry. Lacquerish notes and more cherries come through throughout. I really liked this one.
