Hazy golden color with a nice lace. Nice hoppy aroma, a bit fruity (Cascade, light grapefruit) . Average strength, with some malt (not enough) and a good clean hoppy line (Cascade, a bit fruity, with some hop resins).

Jan 20, 2004 Light copper color with a thick lacing white head. Fresh Cascade hoppy aroma. Sweet candy-like malt flavor and a dry finish. This could stand to gain a little more complexity and balance.

Feb 24, 2005 Slightly hazy orange appearance. Leafy, musty hops: annibus like and with a sweet sugar and IPA-like gritty bitter texture. Mandarin orange flavors with a light bread note, caramel or crystal malts... juicy, sharp citrus finish. Impressive. I’ve heard that the recipe changed recently and that the new version actually contains hops :)

Dec 1, 2004 Had on tap at the brewpub in Austin. Light copper appearance, thin white head. Brief floral aroma. Flavor has some citrusy cascade hoppiness, but not overdone. Some nuttiness comes through to balance it out. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Decent APA.

Apr 25, 2005 Holy crap...this one totally didn’t suck!!! Poured hazy golden orange with a thin white head...smell is piney with a small dose of grapefruit...nice malt hop balance...where’s the corn? Definately enjoyable...not amazing or outstanding, but good...
