DewBrewer (244), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 15, 2005 On cask at the brewery. Wow, what a smooth, enjoyable beer. Thanks Ty for increasing the hops in this from its former self. It is delicious on draught & the cask was awesome. The hop flavor & aroma are wonderful: citrus, earthy too. Mild sweetness along with the bitterness. A well-rounded pale ale/IPA that you don’t want to miss, even on draught. jujubeast6000 (473), Houston, Texas, USA Oct 22, 2007 (Sampler @ NXNW): Pours a cloudy orange color. Small head, whitish. Very hoppy aroma, grapefruit. Grapefruity mild hoppy taste. Good piney taste. Tasty, IPA like. Balanced, good. jakepete (13), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 27, 2006 Had on tap at the brewery. Definitely the best of the six in the sampler. Pale copper in color with a little cloudiness. Huge cascade aroma and flavor. Very fruity and citrussy. Moderate to high bitterness. Humulone_Red (743), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 14, 2005 In cask at NXNW. Nice citrus and flower nose with some sweet malt in the nose. Big citrus fruity flavor. Nice round and balanced flavor. Very drinkable. This is Ty’s IPA. He got rid of the old PyJino Pale and made this his own. Great job Ty! Lumpy (1530), Carrollton, Texas, USA Dec 16, 2005 Tap. Well, I most of had the new recipe, because this beer was magnificent. Nice honey body with a lasting 1/2 inch head. Nose-good fresh clean hops. A great classic APA clean hoppy nose. Taste-my first impression is that this is a bit thin, but good. What it has, it does well with, if you know what I mean. The hops are in the background and upfront at the same time while the malt is balanced just right with the hops. The only NXNW beer that I ordered twice..
