Bottle. Candy, banana, and spice aroma with subtle orange notes. Opaque orange-yellow with a big white head that quickly drops out and disappears. Good hop presence up front with style-appropriate ester character and mild spice. A candy-like sweetness hovers around but is never fully realized, which works well. Spices are slightly muddled which might improve with time. Body is a bit thin, but good carbonation works well. A slight bitterness in the finish lingers on with some citrus notes into the aftertaste.

Bottle from the brewpub. Hazy dark gold with a fleeting head. Aroma is tart wheat with some mild spices. Medium body with light carbonation. Nice grainy malt, lightly tart wheat flavors with a hint of clove. Tastes more like a basic wheat ale than a Saison. Decent enough flavor, just not what i’d expect from this style.
