Mar 11, 2005 Had on tap at the brewpub - pours a charcoal black with a firm khaki head and good thick lacing. Aroma is slightly nutty with a roasted nature to it. Flavor has some mild bitter chocolate notes with brief hints of coffee. Same roastiness pervades the flavor which makes this quite nice. Mouthfeel is sligthy thin, but does not ruin it. A very enjoyable brewpub stout.

Feb 23, 2003 Yuck. Slightly thin looking. Headless. Roasty and aromatic without any body or soul. A slightly sour finish.

Apr 11, 2002 It had a thick beige head. Flavor was typical of a brewpub stout....roasted coffee, mocha, and even some caramel. But again, this brewery is a master of hops--they rounded out this stout to make it better any other brewpub stouts I have had.
