churchill_00 (145), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 7, 2007 I agree with Walt. However, I didn’t taste a considerable amount of alcohol, but it might be due to the time span in brewing. Initially sweet, but finishes sour and chalky. Walt (2268), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 25, 2005 Poured copper with no head...smell is hay and alcohol...taste is sweet alcohol and corn with a sticky sour finish...like a homebrew gone wrong... RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 21, 2005 Pours a medium read color with off-white head. Has some of the malt aroma and flavor needed for a bock, but like the other beers here it is not enough. PorterPounder (2810), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Dec 1, 2004 Had on tap at the brewpub in Austin. Medium copper appearance, light white head. Faint notes of caramel in the aroma. Flavor has a bit of the same caramel notes, but not too exciting. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for a bock. Not the best overall bock I’ve had.
KAggie97 (1884), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jun 30, 2004 This beer has an identity crisis It claims to be a bock, but I swear I was drinkin’ a honey ale. I recommend therapy twice a week and medication.
